Architecture Vision & SSoT
As the Enterprise Architect & Coach (EA Lead), the primary focus was aligning the university's digital strategy with a unified architectural vision:
- Stakeholder Alignment: Led cross-unit kick-off meetings involving the Rectorate, Faculties, and Service Units to synchronize digital transformation priorities.
- Single Source of Truth (SSoT): Defined the vision for a robust data layer centered on SSoT for student and staff IDs, ensuring data consistency across all university systems.
- Strategy Mapping: Identified and mapped critical requirements for marketing dashboards and data governance frameworks.
- Learning Continuity: Optimized digital architectures for distance learning to ensure seamless academic continuity.
EA Governance & Standards
Establishing a sustainable governance framework was essential for the long-term success of the digital transformation:
- Governance Framework: Established EA governance based on TOGAF ADM principles and an extensive standards catalog.
- Architecture Review Board (ARB): Formed the ARB to oversee decision rights, architecture principles, and change management flows.
- Standardization: Created a reusable ArchiMate viewpoint library and standard TOGAF deliverables including Statement of Architecture Work and Architecture Definition.
Data Governance & Integration
Designed the underlying integration patterns to support the university's SSoT objectives:
- MDM Blueprint: Designed the Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) blueprint for unified SSoT.
- Integration Patterns: Implemented modern integration patterns using APIs and messaging to bridge core systems: SIMAK (Academic), SIMPEG (Personnel), SIMKEU (Finance), and LMS.
- Canonical Data Model: Developed a canonical data model to standardize data exchange across diverse institutional units.
Training & Professional Coaching
Beyond architecture, the project focused on capacity building and professional certification within the university team:
- BNSP Certification Coaching: Delivered structured training for Enterprise Architecture certification aligned with SKKNI/BNSP standards.
- Curriculum Development: Developed the curriculum and assessment instruments (observation, portfolio/RPL, and interviews).
- Coaching Clinic: Conducted mock assessments and evidence preparation clinics to ensure team readiness for professional certification.
